Building Finally Commences

It feels like it’s taken years to get to this point.

2-1/2 years ago (or 930 days to be exact but who’s counting) Heather said the garden was getting too hard to maintain and we decided to bite the bullet and make plans to downsize.

Kevin & Dicky started site preparation on Monday 20th May – erecting the temporary boundary fencing, bringing in their shipping container and toilet, and pegging out levels. With the three 2-storey units next door looming above us, our 700m^2 plot of weeds & dirt has never looked so small. And immediately on the right side (between our lot and the nearly finished house) is an even smaller 400m^2 lot.

the red square marks our 700m^2 of land
the fence is convenient for leaning the bike against
am really really hoping my shading model is correct, and those units aren’t going to be blocking the sun from our future solar panels
